Meet Our Staff

Joel Byrd, a devoted Christian, husband & father and singer; was taught to love music at a very young age when he entered his first elementary school performance singing in the Choir.  It was that same performance where he was asked to cover for another student by operating his first basic sound mixer with just 3 microphones and a music track.  As he moved into Middle School still he continued to pursue choral music while still honing his skills as a sound engineer. Growing into his high school year, he continued to study Vocal Music, preforming in shows, until had the honor of landing a position in the school's Theater Tech class his Sophomore year. His two final years of high school were the best when he was appointed the Student Liaison for the School Auditorium, helping all clientele with Audio, Video, and lighting needs for their meetings and events. That's where he also met his sound mentor, teaching him all about sound skill techniques with various types of integrations and applications. Right out of high school, Joel was hired to the sound production team for a major company in San Antonio. He was honored to work with some artists and teams of major celebrities: George Strait, Backstreet Boys, Dixie Chicks, & Pat Green. To get even more experience, Joel started expanding his horizons while in Technical School to include additional opportunities. This is when Byrd Sound Productions evolved from an idea into a reality. Joel started DJing and providing sound engineering services to churches, schools dances and proms, and local bands; then later expanding to community fairs, and vendor events. 10 years later, Byrd Sound Productions grew and continued to thrive when he met is wife of 9 years, Analisa Salinas Byrd. Together, they make Byrd Sound Productions more successful by co-running the business together. With Analisa joining the team, they both were able to offer more quality and value while being able to serve more clients at the same time. Being now 24 years later, Joel and Analisa still have the strong faith based foundation, core values with a growing business that offers endless possibilities to schools, churches, local bands, corporate businesses and popular artists and groups.
